Urgent works to a shopfront pilaster in Glentworth Street, requiring stone replacements be done within five days, to enable a shop opening deadline for the winner of the latest series of “The Apprentice”

Works were, quoted & agreed the next morning, site meeting held that afternoon with the shop fitting contractor to agree sizes to enable shop signage to be installed after, access and local licences / permissions gained, and local storage arranged for the scaffold.

The works were then carried out over 3 evenings and included daily scaffold erection/dismantle.

Works were completed a day earlier than required.

Due to the fast turnaround nature of the works and the fact that a TV crew were booked in for the planned opening date, a proposal was agreed for use of Portland stone mortars as the stone required was not available in time from the quarry/locally.
