PRIVATE SCHOOL RIVER THAMES

A recent project completed at a Grade II* school on the banks of the River Thames.

The project was in excess of £500k and carried out over 8 weeks following several months of in-depth planning and design, manufacture of the glass and steelwork in a tight space taking great care of the existing listed surrounding structure and finishes.

Works included major structural alterations forming openings on internal and external walls, supporting roofs and 3 floors above the lower extension to provide enlarged classrooms, new 6th form and staff rooms, and library to enable the glass structures to be incorporated as extensions to the classrooms.

New brickwork, stonework, asphalt, lead and specific hand made clay tiles to match the existing roof areas, cast guttering and downpipes, installation of new AC within the classroom spaces, alterations to an existing 1 pipe iron barrel heating system providing new heating within the reconfigured areas, relocation of kitchen extract ducts, lighting, power and data.
