RADNOR HOUSE BALLROOM

MCo Group Ltd were instructed to carry out refurbishment works to the ballroom at a Grade I listed school in Sevenoaks.

Our works involved the strip out and refurbishment of ballroom in a historic Grade I listed school inSevenoaks, including strip out and removal of the existing alter and 2 no recesses within the external wall structure which were not original features.

We were then required to deal with electrical issues, steelwork within the floor slab under the alter and reinstate the ballroom to original condition including new areas of purpose made oak flooring where areas were previously removed, making good the remaining oak floor, sanding and several coats of sealer and making good walls, and reinstating windows along with installation of secondary glazing and all associated decorations.

ISSUES & OBSERVATIONS

As this was an Easter holiday project, the works were carefully programmed and materials procured in good time, to ensure that they were completed in time for a planned handover to the school.

All works were carried out with the utmost care and attention, befitting this historic building’s Grade I listed status.
